The 30th annual U&I Dash is set to kick off at 8:30 AM this Saturday, March 23rd, at the picturesque Klyde Warren Park. This landmark event promises an exhilarating day packed with activities, featuring two main attractions: a 5k and 1-mile race weaving through Dallas’ vibrant Arts District and Uptown neighborhoods in the morning, followed by the U&I Dash Festival starting at 4:00 PM.

Notably, the event is pet-friendly, welcoming furry companions to join in the fun. Registration and packet collection commence at 7:00 AM sharp, followed promptly by the race start at 8:30 AM. For early birds, packet pickup is available at Academy Sports & Outdoors on March 21 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and March 22 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Participants can look forward to a host of perks included in the registration fee, such as a personalized finisher medal, a dry-fit running shirt, and, for those aged 21 and above, a refreshing Mango Margarita courtesy of Mi Cocina at the finish line.

The 5K run is chip-timed, with awards slated for various age groups at the post-race ceremony. Categories span across overall male and female winners, male and female masters, as well as 1st to 3rd place finishers across different age brackets from 9 & under to 70+.

Following the race, the excitement continues with the U&I Dash Festival running from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Klyde Warren Park. The festival boasts a diverse lineup of entertainment, including live music, interactive activities like the McDonald’s Midway, and culinary delights from Mi Cocina. Attendees can immerse themselves in the “Redefining Disabilities Experience” art show and unleash their creativity at Michael’s Creative Space, featuring the Rise Up Live Art Show and craft station.Local businesses take center stage at Shop Local Lane, offering a glimpse into Dallas’ bustling community spirit. With family-friendly attractions like face painting, a glow station, and ample photo opportunities, the U&I Dash promises a day of fun for all ages right in the heart of Dallas.
