TO: RESIDENTS IN THE AREA OF CITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

RE: Routh Street Gateway Sidewalk Improvements Under Woodall Rodger Freeway (PB17V983)

The City is scheduled to begin construction on or after April 3, 2023 on the above referenced project. The planned improvements will include sidewalk and streetscape amenities construction. The construction cost for this project is $300,000.00. The contractor is Thomas 11 Development, LLC. The Contractor will be allowed ninety (90) calendar days to complete the construction. Therefore, weather permitting, the estimated completion date for this project is July 2023.

A City construction inspector, whom you will be able to contact on the job if needed, will inspect the work on this project. City inspectors usually have more than one job to handle at the same time so you may not find the inspector at a particular time. General supervision will be the responsibility of Derrick White, Construction Supervisor, Department of Public Works, who may be reached by calling (214) 948-4673.

Further notices for garbage collection and parking inconveniences may follow. These periods of inconvenience, if needed, will be minimized.

Please be aware that any cement-concrete work takes at least seven (7) days to “cure” and attain the required strength to support the traffic load without developing any cracks and other defects that will reduce its useful life. Please leave barricades for the project in place and the contractor will remove them once the new concrete has reached the required strength needed to support traffic loads.

Please be assured that we will make every effort to accomplish this construction with a minimum of inconvenience to the neighborhood and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during those periods when inconveniences do occur. If you need further information, please feel free to contact me at (214) 948-4263.

Thank you for your cooperation.
