Blank Rome LLP is launching the office with seven lawyers focusing on corporate, real estate and finance issues.

A Pennsylvania-based law firm that’s expanding to North Texas has landed in Dallas with an office at The Crescent. Blank Rome LLP has its main office in Philadelphia and has 15 locations with more than 680 attorneys nationwide and in Shanghai.

The 77-year-old legal firm has opened its second Texas office in Uptown Dallas’ landmark Crescent complex. The office will focus on corporate, real estate and finance issues.

“Dallas is a vibrant and thriving business community, and we are thrilled to open an office here and bring together such an outstanding group of attorneys to launch our efforts,” Blank Rome’s chairman and managing partner Grant Palmer said in a statement. “Establishing an office in Dallas has been a strategic priority of our firm for some time to better serve our clients who are based in or do business in Dallas and North Texas.”

Blank Rome is starting the Dallas office with seven attorneys. Steven R. Block and Jason S. Luter are Dallas office co-chairs and partners.

The firm first expanded to Texas in 2010 with an office in Houston.

”It was clear to all of us that Blank Rome fully understands and appreciates the strategic importance of Dallas to its successful national footprint and is committed to growing in the market,” Luter said.

The new Dallas office is Blank Rome’s third major expansion since May. The firm also added nine attorneys at its New York office, and nine attorneys and legal professions joined the Washington, D.C. office.

Blank Rome joins a large community of financial and legal firms located at The Crescent.
