Munck Wilson Mandala plans to add a significant swath of office space in Uptown Dallas.

The locally founded tech-focused law firm has long called Banner Place along Coit Road in North Dallas its home.

A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows the firm plans to lease 42,000 square feet in Texas Capital Center, located at 2000 McKinney Ave.

The firm is slated to move into the 19th and 20th floors of the building, the filing shows. Work is set to begin in May on the space, with construction on the interior expected to be completed in July.

2000 McKinney was recently renamed Texas Capital Center when the Dallas-based publicly traded financial institution of the same name re-upped and expanded its headquarters lease at the building.

It is unclear whether Munck Wilson Mandala plans to maintain a footprint in North Dallas.

The firm declined to comment.

Munck Wilson Mandala works on matters such as trade secrets, patents and intellectual property, among others, with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies.

Outside of Dallas, it has Texas offices in Marshall, Austin, Houston and Waco, in addition to Los Angeles, Orlando and South Florida.
