THEATRE THREE PRESENTS ACTION-PACKED DRAMATIC COMEDY

She Kills Monsters

by Qui Nguyen

Directed by Jeffrey Schmidt

WHAT

Laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture references, this can’t miss high-octane dramatic comedy is a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.

She Kills Monsters is directed by Jeffrey Schmidt and stars Christopher Lew (Steve), Griffin Hammel (Chuck), Kennedy Waterman (Tilly), Bree Redmond (Agnes), Aaron Jay Green (Miles), Carine Rice (Kaliope), Bear Campbell (Lilly), Lydia Mackay (Vera), Beth Lipton (Narrator), Samantha Behen (Evil Tina), Seth Monhollon (Orcus), Chandra Rees (Farrah) and Alle Mims (Evil Gabby).

Of the piece, Jeffrey states, “A right of passage into adulthood is discovering who your people are; where you fit in, feel comfortable and can be heard. That’s what I love most about this play. It is fun and filled with adventure and 90’s pop culture references, but the heart of the story is about finding your place in the world.”
