It’s that time of year! Lights are being strung, stockings are being hung and the creation of confectionary castles is returning to Hotel Crescent Court in Uptown Dallas. Once again, the luxury hotel is offering their annual Gingerbread Extravaganza Workshops featuring more than 20 varieties of colorful candy and icing. Kids and adults alike can see, make and taste their very own confectionary cookie-castles as Pastry Chef Julie Price hosts classes on how to blow the roof off the traditional gingerbread house. The children’s workshops are $95 per child and include one house, dozens of delicious decorations, candy, cookies and punch, and, if desired, for an additional $40 the experience entails a personalized apron. Classes are scheduled for four separate days, with two time slots each day: Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 from 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm; Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017 from 11am – 1pm and 3pm – 5pm; Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 from 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm; Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 from 11am – 1pm and 3pm – 5pm. The adults’ workshop – perfect for a date night or girls night out – has a more dizzying array of choices and incorporates one gingerbread house with candy to share, hors d’oeuvres and wine or beer for $125 per adult or $155 per couple.
