Grab a drink with your friends or travel companions from one of the many bars and restaurants in Uptown. With 60 wines on tap, Sixty Vines is a wine lover’s dream. Choose from a variety of reds, whites, rosés and bubbles from all over the world. Located on Allen Street, Parliament has craft cocktails for every palate with new creations introduced regularly.

For a more casual drink with man’s best friend, bring your pups to Mutts Canine Cantina, a unique off-leash dog park bar and grill. If you enjoy cheering on your favorite sports team as you enjoy a draft and delicious, scratch-kitchen food, The Nodding Donkey will be your new go-to.

Move

In Uptown, you’ll find the perfect balance of urban and greenspace. For a breath of fresh air, head over to Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile paved trail tucked within the bustling neighborhood. Perfect for walkers, runners and bikers, this trail snakes through Victory Park into Uptown, offering a refreshing escape from city life. Another oasis of open space, Griggs Park‘s 8 acres provides plenty of space for picnics, walking and playing with your furry friends.

Experience

Celebrate the arts while in the area at one of Uptown’s many museums and theaters. Located on Carlisle Street, the Museum of Geometric and MADI Arts‘ unique exhibits and art pieces are a must-see. Stop in at the Bivins Gallery to view both international and local, modern and post-war contemporary art.

To enjoy a show while sitting in an architectural masterpiece, head over to the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Kalita Humphreys Theater for a performance by the Uptown Players. Over on Laclede Street, be entertained by a pillar of the North Texas arts community, Theatre Three. T3 offers engaging performances of both classic and new works, illuminating the human experience by nurturing authors, artists and audiences.

Shop

Enjoy some retail therapy at the many unique boutiques and shopping areas in Uptown. West Village features over 275,000 square feet of retail space, boasting over 100 shops, boutiques, restaurants and more. While there, don’t miss the curated, designer clothing at the Nicole Kwon Concept Store, the almost 350 unique fragrances at The Scent Room, and the men’s clothing brand – and complementary whiskey bar – of Rye 51 Textile Distillery.
