Uptown Dallas’ newest office high-rise has landed another major tenant.

Law firm Barnes & Thornburg is moving its office to the new Park District project under construction on Klyde Warren Park.

Barnes & Thornburg is taking 28,000 square feet of office space in the 20-story PwC Tower at the corner of Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway.

The legal firm joins PriceWaterhouse Coopers and International law firm Winston & Strawn LLP the in the $300 million mixed-use development being built by Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. and partner MetLife Investment Management.

“The building and location are the best in Dallas and we believe that it will help us to continue to compete for the best legal talent,” Mark Bayer, Barnes & Thornburg Dallas office managing partner, said in a statement. “Although Barnes & Thornburg has been in Dallas for less than three years, we hope that this move sends the clear message that we are here to stay.”

Founded in Indiana, Barnes & Thornburg expanded to Dallas in 2015 and has offices in in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, Texas and Washington, D.C.

The law firm plans to move into Park District in September from its current location on McKinney Avenue.

Phil Puckett, Harlan Davis, Dennis Barnes, Clay Gilbert and Shannon Brown from CBRE negotiated the lease.

Along with the PwC Tower office building, the 900,000-square-foot Park District project includes a 34-story luxury apartment building with 228 units and ground floor retail space.

“PwC Tower at Park District will offer Barnes & Thornburg the best office space and amenities in Dallas, all at the doorstep of Klyde Warren Park,” Crow senior managing director Scott Krikorian said.
