Another new high-rise project is in the works for Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood.

The 13-story tower is planned near the corner of Cedar Springs Road and Fairmount Street near the Crescent. The property is now occupied by small buildings that house a real estate office and other tenants.

Prominent Dallas attorney Jesse Ferrer has owned the site since 2016 and is proposing the high-rise. Ferrer said he plans to relocate his law firm from the Oak Lawn area to the new building.

The tower would include about 129,000 square feet of office space, a restaurant, event space and a residential unit on the top floor, according to plans presented this week to the Oak Lawn Committee.

Six levels of underground parking would serve the building.

RDL Architects of Ohio and Cowden Architects of Dallas designed the project, which includes an open plaza in front of the tower.

The planned project is located between two other high-rise office buildings along Cedar Springs Road.

And additional office, residential and hotel buildings are in the works on properties in the immediate area.

The Oak Lawn Committee gave the plan a thumbs-down. Concerns were raised about the event space.
