Looking to splurge on the finest seafood around town?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the most excellent high-end seafood sources in Dallas, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to fill the bill.
1. Water Grill
Topping the list is Water Grill. Located at 1920 McKinney, Suite 100, in Uptown, the upscale dining establishment is the highest-rated destination for deluxe seafood in Dallas, boasting 4.5 stars out of 369 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Jesse H., who reviewed Water Grill on Aug. 24, wrote, “If you love seafood, this is the place to go. Everything here is fresh!”
Greg A. added, “This restaurant is absolutely stunning and gorgeous. It’s expensive, but they have fresh seafood flown in from all over the country.”
2. Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille
Uptown’s Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, located at 2000 McKinney Ave., Suite 100, is another prime choice, with Yelpers giving the fancy New American bistro, which is known for its seafood, wine and steaks, 4.5 stars out of 880 reviews.
On the seafood menu, look for plates like pan-seared sea bass, chargrilled salmon, steamed lobster tail, fried shrimp and wild red snapper with crispy skin, served alongside chive whipped potatoes and truffle vinaigrette.
3. Town Hearth
Town Hearth, a traditional American steakhouse that serves seafood, steaks and more in the Design District, is another much-loved, expensive go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 427 Yelp reviews. Head over to 1617 Market Center Blvd. to experience it for yourself.
Yelper Alicia C., who reviewed Town Hearth on Sept. 2, said, “Fabulous experience, from the staff to the food! Everything was delicious. We had the ahi from the cold bar, and it was one of my favorite things. We [also] had the king crab pasta.”
Lee N. noted, “The Cape Cod oysters were delicious, as well as the dry aged ribeye. Server was attentive and helpful. Would come again!”
4. The Capital Grille
Over in Uptown, check out this outpost of the well-known chain The Capital Grille, which has earned 4.5 stars out of 421 reviews on Yelp. Treat yourself at the steakhouse and wine bar, which offers seafood and more, by heading over to 500 Crescent Court.
“From the moment you step into The Capital Grille, the experience is one of comfortable elegance,” touts the history section of the business’ Yelp profile. “African mahogany paneling and Art Deco chandeliers provide a warm, stately setting for our nationally renowned dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and acclaimed world-class wines. 5. Nick & Sam’s
And then there’s Nick & Sam’s, an Oak Lawn favorite with four stars out of 1,174 reviews. Stop by 3008 Maple Ave. to hit up the ritzy steakhouse and seafood outlet next time you’re in the mood for something special.
“Founded in 1999 by restaurateur Phil Romano, Nick & Sam’s has become one of Dallas’ most popular dining destinations,” the business writes on its Yelp bio in the section regarding specialties. “Our universal appeal is a result of exceptional prime steaks, chops and seafood, paired with an extensive wine list of 450 selections and outstanding service.”
